In Case you Missed the 2012 LA Pen Show

We, along with most folks on the East Coast, really wish that we were just coming back from bright and sunny LA, full of pens, ink and goodies from the LA Pen Show that just ended yesterday. Unfortunately, a cross-country trip just wasn't in the cards for us this year, which is a sentiment that many pen enthusiasts are lamenting about as well.

Lets not hang our nibs in despair just yet! If you missed the show, there are a few wonderful blog posts out there that captured the penthusiasm and excitement of the weekend's show, complete with pictures of pens, pens and more pens!

The Biggest Pelikan Yet

Last time I was this excited to light something up was our Christmas Tree.

This Pelikan may not write (If it did, it looks like the nib would be a 2" wide stub nib) but it certainly does bring warm green glow that illuminates my pen-loving heart. If this were an actual Pelikan Souveran pen, what number do you think it would be? M10,000? I could imagine the amount of gold that were to go into the nib would make the pen catastrophically expensive. Not to mention the rarity of having such an enormous pen. Although, I could imagine the comfort level of writing with such a large pen would be minimal, especially with several bottles worth of ink sloshing around in the oversized ink tank.
